Saskatchewan Polytechnic has jumped in to help protect front-line health care workers from the COVID-19 virus. They collected seven pallets worth of thousands of pieces of personal protective equipment and other supplies, from their Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina, and Saskatoon locations. Everything was shipped to a central location identified by the provincial government. The material will be distributed to health regions across the province.
Among the items shipped were:
o 741 boxes of gloves
o 40 boxes of masks with face shields
o 212 boxes of procedural masks
o 219 boxes of N95 and another 420 N95 masks
o 4 boxes of surgical masks
o 780 isolation gowns
o 41 containers of hand sanitizer
o 20 tubs of wipes
