Last night (thurs) the Prime Minister spoke with the Premiers to discuss the evolving COVID-19 situation. They talked about collaborative efforts to protect the health and safety of Canadians and to support workers and businesses. They also spoke specifically about financially helping low-income workers who provide essential services to Canadians. The First Ministers agreed that measures currently in place, such as physical distancing and self-isolation, are essential to slowing the spread of the virus. They also agreed on the urgent need to ensure long-term care facilities have the resources they need to protect the health and well-being of their residents and workers.
