L-J McCray comes onto the Saskatchewan Roughriders roster (pictured) for Saturday night’s game in B-C…one of three changes to the 46-man group from last Saturday’s 38-25 victory over the Lions at Mosaic Stadium.
However, one of those changes doesn’t involve Brett Lauther returning to action. Lauther will miss a third consecutive game with a nagging groin injury, meaning Gabe Ferraro will handle the Green and White’s place-kicking duties. A former N-F-L defensive back, McCray replaces Solomon Means and will start in his cornerback spot with Means going to the practice roster. As revealed Tuesday, Dariusz Bladek comes off the six-game injured list and will start at guard in place of Phillip Blake who broke his leg last week and is on the six-game I-L. In additon, Regina product and receiver Mitch Picton draws in on the 46, replacing Justin McInnis who goes to the one-game injured list. Game time Saturday is 5 o’clock on T-S-N.
