Union members at the Co-op refinery in Regina have voted against Federated Co-op’s latest contract offer. 89 per cent said no. Over 700 employees were locked out of the facility on December 5th during contract talks. In March, the province brought in two mediators who developed recommendations to end the dispute. Local 594 members voted 98 per cent in favour of the proposed contract. FCL said no. The union wants the provincial government to force Co-op to take the deal.
