3 out of 4 men charged in the manslaughter assault death of Kevin Nataucappo have had their charges stayed. A stay of proceedings and charges for Devin Westquate, Destin Mosquito and Mohammed Al-Zawahreh were granted this week, with 37 year old Darrell Dustyhorn due back in court, to make a plea on May 7th. While proceedings for the three men are now inactive, stayed charges can be revisited if prosecutors decide to do so.

On September 21, of 2019, Saskatoon Police responded to a call of an injured man and alleged home invasion in the 100 block of Howell Avenue, just after 5 a.m. Police found 31 year old Kevin Nataucappo, suffering from injuries at the scene, he was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries. The 4 accused were arrested after an investigation by police and Nataucappo’s death was ruled Saskatoon’s 13th homicide of 2019.
