A 38 year old man is in custody and charged with aggravated assault and breach of a release order, after an alleged machete attack on Saturday.

At approximately 5:17 p.m Police received a call of an unknown problem in the area of 1st Street and Broadway Ave. When police arrived they located a man who was suffering from injuries caused by a machete. He was transported to hospital in stable condition. The suspect was then identified, and located at a residence by officers. He surrendered to police without incident and was arrested.
