SaskPower says that, during the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, the company determined it had lost about $12 thousand worth of scrap copper through theft in previous years. But these were inside jobs. Three employees lost their jobs and six others received disciplinary action. A review of the salvage process is underway and the matter has been turned over to police for investigation. SaskPower says, in addition to the copper that was stolen, about $8,500 worth of copper was recovered.
