NDP leader Ryan Meili says they welcome the province’s announcement of building up Saskatchewan while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. But the leader of the official opposition would like to see the government include Saskatchewan workers and companies first for projects. Meili says the province needs to implement a Saskatchewan First procurement model. He added that the NDP wants the opportunity to make sure the decisions being made today are in the best interest of Saskatchewan by having some form of legislative oversight and accountability during the pandemic.
