No one really seem to think kids were going back to school before the end of the school year, and now it has been confirmed.
But the Saskatchewan government has confirmed today that in-class learning has been suspended in Saskatchewan until at least September.
The province’s Education Response Planning Team is also working with partners in the education sector on what in-class learning could look like this fall.
For those graduating school divisions are working on a plan for virtual graduation ceremonies and possible postponements as well, in light of public health orders which prevent more than 10 people gathering together.
There are 180,000 students who have had the option of taking part in learning activities offered by their teachers, on-line, delivering education into students’ homes. And those students are urged to persevere until the end of the school year.
