From May 1st to May 7th, there were 104 calls for service to Saskatchewan RCMP related to Covid-19.
33 complaints of social gatherings of over 10 people, 13 complaints of people failing to self-isolate when allegedly required to do so and 58 other COVID-19 related complaints.
Additionally, one charge was laid, in the Northern district of the province. RCMP say the Public Health Order is still in place and we continue to work closely with Saskatchewan Health Authorities to investigate any potential violations of the Order.
Since March 1st there have been 1379 occurrences related to Covid-19 and 4 charges have been laid.
Officers continue to respond to all calls for service and Detachments are open with physical distancing restrictions in place.
RCMP recognize the weather will be improving across the province and say residents must all continue do their part, from members of the public to police officers and beyond, to slow the spread of Covid-19. This includes continuing to stay home and refraining from gathering in groups over 10 and maintaining a distance of two metres or more.
