BHP has made a donation to Saskatchewan Food Banks of just over $100 thousand. $50 thousand will go to the organization, Food Banks of Saskatchewan. The rest will be split between Saskatoon, Humboldt, Wynyard, and Lanigan. Laurie O’Connor, Executive Director of the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre says, “These funds will allow Saskatchewan food banks to meet the challenges of hunger and food insecurity during these uncertain times.” Giles Hellyer, President Potash for BHP says the company knows families have been impacted by COVID-19 and they want to help out. The company’s Canadian head office is in Saskatoon.
