The Canadian Forces Snowbirds flew over Saskatoon Thursday, several times, through the pristine blue prairie skies on the south side of the city, criss-crossing the South Saskatchewan River and another sweep over the city which would have taken them near St. Paul’s Hospital.
The mission, dubbed Operation INSPIRATION saw the team’s signature nine-jet formation with trailing white smoke flying over cities across Canada.
Operation Inspiration began May 2nd and continues through this week. The nine plane formation swept over the city starting around 10:30 am and riveted people along the river’s pathways, up and down city streets who all came out to watch.
