A woman who is one of 4 people charged in connection to an investigation into the death of a 21 year old man from the Kinistino area has pleaded guilty and has been sentenced. Prince Albert Police were alerted in April of 2016 that Gilbert McCallum was missing. His body was found in a field in June of that year.
Korena Bonneau was originally charged with 2nd degree murder, break and enter and robbery, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter and break and enter and has been sentenced to 7 years for the manslaughter charge and 3 years for break and enter, to run concurrently. After remand credit, she has just over 3 years and 9 months left to serve. There is a publication ban on Bonneau’s proceedings because of pending court cases.
