With the weather getting warmer and more people heading outdoors, the Saskatchewan RCMP reminds everyone to continue following traffic laws and the Public Health Orders.
Enforcement of dangerous driving including distracted driving, failing to wear seat-belts and impaired driving continues to be the focus, but police are also working with the Saskatchewan Health Authority to investigate any potential violations to the COVID-19 regulations.
From May 8 through the 14th, there were 103 calls for service related to the virus – 18 complaints of social gatherings over 10 people, 20 complaints of failing to self-isolate when allegedly required to do so, and 65 other COVID-related complaints. Between March 1st and May 14th, 28 charges have been laid by the RCMP.
The province instated a 24 hour toll-free line to report any violations to the Public Health Orders. 1-855-559-5502
