Assiniboia RCMP think cocaine laced with fentanyl is what led to the death of a man in the town last March. So, police are warning the public about the danger of consuming illicit drugs. And, there is concern that this particular drug may still be circulating in the area. Police say contact with any amount to of fentanyl should be completely avoided. If you think you have come upon a drug containing fentanyl police say you should leave the area and call 9-1-1. Don’t touch the drug. And don’t bring it in to police. If you suspect someone is overdosing, call 9-1-1.
