One man is dead and a woman is in hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening in Regina. Police are on the scene at Fisher Street along with the Saskatchewan Coroners service, investigating the matter. One man is in custody. Police don’t believe there is a danger to the public. No other details have been released. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.

Regina Police and the Coroners Service are investigating the death of a man in the lake in Wascana Park. Thursday night around 7:40, police were called about a man who had gone swimming in the lake but who was no longer visible. Several agencies were called in including the Regina Police Service Underwater Investigation and Recovery Team. His body was eventually found under water. EMS pronounced him deceased shortly after nine o’clock. Police have still to identify the man and notify next-of-kin. Anyone with information is asked to contact Regina Police or Crime Stoppers.
