The Saskatoon Fire Department were on the scene of 4 different fires on Saturday.
The first was at 3:53 a.m., when fire crews responded to a fire in the 100 block of Avenue S South. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed a shed to be on fire, with fire also extending to a nearby tree. This fire was put under control in about five minutes.

The second call, was at 6:46 a.m. to the 300 block of Avenue S South, that saw a small fire at a home. The lone occupant was reportedly uncooperative and Saskatoon Police were requested to help remove them. This fire was brought under control within 10 minutes.

At 12:45 the third call came in and firefighters responded to the 1900 block of 22nd Street West, where a vacant, boarded up house, had a small fire. Fire crews extinguished the fire within minutes with minimal damage.

The fourth fire occurred in the 100 block of East Hampton Boulevard at around 6:11 p.m, fire crews responded and found two homes fully and heavily involved in fire. Firefighters fought the fire for just under an hour and according to an initial estimate by investigators, damage could be near $1,000,000, but that estimate is subject to change as the investigation continues.

No injuries were reported throughout the day, and fire investigators are continuing to investigate all 4 fires for cause and damages.
