Chalk one up for the good guys. After all of those stolen copper wire stories over the years, The Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit has recovered about 800 pounds of pilfered wire. Three men were arrested after a two-month investigation into the theft of wire from oil and gas sites. The stolen property was found during the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Calgary. Police also seized a stolen quad, and a breathing apparatus from an oil site.
