Little Red River Park is the site of the Canadian National Archery Championships getting under way in Prince Albert tomorrow (fri). Archers from across Canada, ranging in age from five to 80, will be there. The 3D portion of the championships will take place on the upper plains of Little Red River Park through Monday. As a result, the City, in conjunction with the Timberland Bowbenders would like to advise the public:
The event is open to spectators and free of charge
The trail system at Little Red River Park will remain open during the competition
Archers will be standing off the trail aiming at targets
Trail users are welcome to watch from the safety of the trail. Event Marshalls and Judges will be on hand to ensure users of the trail system do not interfere with the event
Expect authorized event vehicles on the course during the event
Parking is limited, so the public is encouraged to car pool
There will be security on site for the event
Vendors will be on site
20 portable toilettes will be added for the event
The event will occur rain or shine
Also, the Field Competition runs August 6th and 7th, at the Prince Albert Wildlife Federation, and the Target Championships at Red Wing School on the 8th to the 11th.
