Metis Nation – Saskatchewan unloads boxes of industrial-style sewing machines to be donated to the “Masked Makers”
Seeing the hard work of the Masked Makers Metis Nation Saskatchewan President Glen McCallum and MN-S Health Minister Marg Friesen gathered with the sewers Friday at Market Square in Saskatoon to donate 15 new industrial style sewing machines to the cause. Friesen says wearing face masks in public is a part of the new normal and the work this group of selfless sewers is doing, is helping to protect our vulnerable citizens and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. So far, over half of the masks have been donated to communities in the Northwest side of the province, that are in lock-down.
