A person in distress on the train bridge, and a train coming. that was the situation at 3:27 Tuesday morning as Saskatoon Police asked the Fire Department to get the person down from the bridge that cross Idylwyld Drive North at Circle Drive East. Dispatchers called, and had the train stopped. Fire and police worked out a plan involving the aerial ladder truck and rope rescue technicians if it came to that. But, in less than one hour from the time of notification, the Fire Department says the person safely self-rescued and was left in the care of police.
