Battlefords RCMP are investigating a sudden death. Over the noon hour on Thursday, local EMS advised police of a man who was unresponsive and not breathing. Officers went to the residence on the 14 hundred block of 101st Street in North Battleford and began the investigation.

About two hours later, the RCMP Dispatch Centre was told of a house fire on the 14 hundred block of 99th Street. Noting the proximity of the two events, police say the two events are not related.
