One of three people involved in a multiple stabbing incident in the early morning hours of Monday in the City Park area of Saskatoon has been arrested and faces two counts of aggravated assault.
Saskatoon Police responded to a call at around 12:30 a.m. and found multiple people in a residence in the 800 block of 4th Avenue North…two of whom were suffering from stab wounds. A 22-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were taken to hospital with apparent minor injuries. They were in an altercation with a third person, a 27-year-old man…all of whom were known to each other. At about 5:15 a.m., patrol members found the 27-year-old man at a park in the 100 block of Research Road. He had been stabbed and struck in the head with a baseball bat before fleeing the original scene on foot. He was arrested and faces two counts of aggravated assault after being treated in hospital for serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
