Saskatoon Police say a man was shot around 5:40 Saturday morning on the 600 block of Idylwyld Drive North. The victim was taken to hospital for a wound not considered life-threatening. He says he was walking along when four men approached him, asked for a cigarette, and then began assaulting him. When he tried to get away, they shot him. He wasn’t able to provide a description of the suspects. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
