A black pick up truck on the median, a young tree sheered off, and two bicycles abandoned in the street were the remnants of a serious pedestrian/vehicle accident late Thursday afternoon in Saskatoon. Saskatoon Police had the area cordoned off after a 29 year old man was hit by the truck while riding his bike through the crosswalk at Stone Bridge Boulevard and Cope Crescent. His injuries are described as life threatening. The accident happened around 5:30 Thursday while the victim, who was not wearing a helmet, and another person, were out for a bike ride.
