The kids will still be able to enjoy a Saskatoon YMCA day camp. It’s just moving online, keeping safety in mind during the efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Director of child and youth programs, Jamie McCulloch, says the tough decision had to be made to cancel the Blackstrap, Martensville and Super Summer days camps and now everything will be free online through YCanada. As much as possible, the activities will be similar to the traditional camps, including arts and crafts, outdoor adventures and environmental projects.
The virtual camps are July 6th to the 28th with the link on the Y’s website.
The Saskatoon YMCA will gradually open again as of Monday, with reduced hours and reduced capacity.
