According to Environment Canada parts of Southern Saskatchewan will be seeing, or are currently seeing strong winds that may cause damage.
Environment Canada reports strong southeasterly winds of 70 gusting to 90 km/h will develop in southern Saskatchewan this afternoon. These winds are expected to gradually subside this evening. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
Currently warnings have been issued for:
- Humboldt -Wynyard – Wadena – Lanigan – Foam Lake
- Outlook – Watrous – Hanley – Imperial – Dinsmore
- The City of Regina
