The government and Opposition NDP have agreed to meet for a 14-day sitting starting today. That kicks off with Finance Minister Donna Harpauer delivering a budget this afternoon. To conform to Public Health Orders around COVID-19, only ten MLAs from the governing Saskatchewan Party and five from the NDP will be permitted in the assembly. In March, on the day the budget was supposed to be delivered, the government released spending estimates. July 1st is Canada Day and a holiday so the final vote on the budget will take place on July 2. MLA’s will debate in the legislature until July 3rd.
