A 25-year-old Saskatoon man faces six charges after being arrested early Tuesday morning following a break and enter and theft of a vehicle on Sunday evening.
At about 9 o’clock Sunday evening, a female complainant at a residence on Avenue E North told Saskatoon Police that her Acura R-D-X was stolen after a break-in. On early Tuesday morning, just after 2 o’clock, the vehicle was spotted by the Canine Unit at the corner of 29th street and Avenue P. The Air Support Unit took over and tracked the vehicle, which was going at high speed, until it stopped in a parking lot in the 3800 block of Fairlight Drive. The male driver dropped an item as he walked away from the vehicle and was arrested about a block away with bear spray in his possession. The 25-year-old man faces charges of Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Property, Theft of a Vehicle, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace and two counts of Breach of Probation.
