Last spring, Pleasant Hill Park was the location of teens assaulting people at the park and led to video of a group of kids attacking a 33 year old Mom, making waves on social media.
Three girls and a boy were charged, while Saskatoon Police say a number of other youth were under 12 years old, so can’t be charged under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The boy was sentenced Tuesday to 12 months probation for assault in connection to the incident involving the mother being attacked.
A week prior on May 13th, two girls, ages 10 and 14, reported being assaulted by a number of youth. One of the girls believed to be involved in that incident had her charges withdrawn. Another who was involved in both incidents is in court on Wednesday for sentencing. The victims in both incidents sustained minor injuries.
