Two men are facing charges after a motel room was broken into and a man was assaulted on Wednesday evening.

At approximately 7:00 p.m., Police responded to a motel in the 2000 block of Avenue B North, after it was reported that three men illegally entered a suite.

A 53 year-old man was assaulted with a baseball bat and was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries. A second person in the room reported having their phone stolen by the men.

Two men, ages 34 and 48, have been arrested and charged with Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Robbery. Police are continuing to investigate.
