The body of a third teenage girl has been recovered from St. Mary River in southern Alberta.
She was discovered around 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon after getting swept into the river last Wednesday (Jun 10). Approximately 10 people had gone swimming and caonoeing. RCMP had said three girls had difficulty trying to get out of the water. Their canoe had capsized.
One of the girls was found and pronounced deceased at the scene. Two others were swept away. The body of a second girl was found the next morning.
It was an outing by the youth from a nearby Hutterite colony.
