Cardston, Alberta RCMP say a 4 year old child missing in the Woolford Provincial Park was found deceased.
The child was reported missing at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cardston RCMP along with Lethbridge Search and Rescue, RCMP Police Dog Services and Air Services as well as volunteers, worked throughout the night.
At 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning, after receiving information from a local resident, RCMP took a boat and found the body of the child on a sand bar of the St. Mary’s River a few kilometres down from Woolford Provincial Park.
St. Mary’s River is where three girls from the Spring Valley Hutterite Colony in Southern Alberta drowned June 10th while a group of young people were out canoeing and swimming.
