On Friday morning around 2:30 a.m., emergency services were called to a report of a woman laying on the street in the Village of La Loche. A 20 year old woman with serious injuries was taken to hospital in La Loche and then flown to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon by air ambulance. RCMP say the victim had been walking on the side of the street when she was suddenly hit by a vehicle from behind. It is believed the driver didn’t stop after hitting the woman.
