The Saskatoon community outbreak declared on May 27th is now done.
Medical Health Officer, Dr. Jasmine Hasselback declared it over on Sunday.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority says the outbreak was declared when it was learned during contact tracing of 2 individuals with the virus that there were 2 large family gatherings in early May, contrary to the public health order at the time.
The outbreak involved multiple different households.
Although the province is gradually re-opening, the Health authority reminds everyone that the virus is still out there, so it’s important to continue to take precautions to protect yourself and those around you.
