A grass fire around 8:30 Tuesday night in the area of the Wastewater Treatment Plant on the 400 block of Whiteswan Drive led to multiple 9-1-1 calls. Saskatoon firefighters set up near the plant and worked to extinguish the fire along the riverbank, declaring it under control by 8:47. There was no imminent risk to nearby structures and no injuries were reported. The cause remains inconclusive. This was the second day in a row that a grass fire was extinguished in that area.
