Saskatoon’s Millennium Lions Club was trying to figure out what they could do to help during COVID-19, and came up with the idea to thank long term care workers who have gone above and beyond during this pandemic.
Spokesperson Tom Armstrong says they will be conducting a drive by of several long term care homes Saturday afternoon, just to wave and let the staff know they are appreciated.
The Lions Club recognizes and appreciates the extra work for staff in long term care homes.
Armstrong says we don’t thank each other enough, and he looks forward to giving them a wave and a thank you.
The cars will be decorated at 2, and then the drive by salute will begin mid-afternoon and travel east to west through the city.
