The City of Saskatoon’s Official Community Plan to be discussed at Monday night’s Public Hearing is a look into what the future could look like.
A news release from the city explains that the plan includes an overall view of physical, environmental, economic, social and cultural development.
City Council will consider all submissions related to the plan during the hearing which begins at 6 p.m.
Director of Planning and Development, Lesley Anderson, says the new proposed OCP comes from over 50 civic plans and policies including the Growth Plan, the Green Infrastructure Strategy and the Culture Plan. She explains that the plans aren’t new, but they are all consolidated in the OCP, which makes the direction of the city already approved by City Council in recent years more concise.
