A woman in Saskatchewan is recovering from injuries after her Sea-Doo exploded.

Emergency officials say the woman was thrown a number of metres when the blast happened last Friday as the watercraft was being started at Emma Lake.

The 54-year-old victim was taken to hospital in Prince Albert before she was transferred to Saskatoon.

The reason for the explosion is unclear.
