She has been a City Councillor for 9 years and had earlier signaled should would be running again in the fall, but Ann Iwanchuk has decided to pursue another dream. The Ward 3 Councillor told City Council on Monday afternoon that she has decided to further her education, and doesn’t have time for both, along with her other commitments, including her family.
The City of Saskatoon’s website says Iwanchuk is also a negotiator, mediator, arbitration specialist, and facilitator with the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Her past experience includes 15 years as a City of Saskatoon employee, as well as experience with her family’s locally owned and operated downtown businesses.
Council also heard that City Clerk Joanne Sproule would be retiring in December, after 40 years of service in the City Clerk’s office.
