The Saskatoon Fire Department says you can only use low hazard fireworks on private property between dusk and 11 p.m on Canada Day.
These fireworks include roman candles, sparklers, and travel less than 50 metres or 160 feet high.
The Fire Department also recommends you make sure the location you choose is free of overhead obstructions, is clear side-to-side, and is a safe distance from combustible materials.
Also, make sure it is not windy and wait 30 minutes before you start the clean up process. It is even recommended that you dispose of fireworks and debris in a pail of water.
