Canada Border Services is reminding travelers that, despite the July first celebrations here and the July fourth celebrations in the United States, travel restrictions remain in place. The measures are scheduled to remain in place until July 21st. This affects all travel of an optional or discretionary nature including tourism, recreation, and entertainment. Asymptomatic immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residence who meet the immediate family member definition, and are coming to Canada for at least 15 days, will be exempt from the prohibition from entering Canada for a discretionary purpose.
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and Registered Indians under the Indian Act continue to enter Canada by right and are subject to COVID-19 entry screening measures.
