A garage on the 100 block of Avenue L South went up in flames around 3:30 Friday morning. Fire crews found the structure fully involved as they arrived, with damage to a garage to the north and a shed across the alley. The heat was so intense that it ruptured the natural gas line to a neighbouring garage and firefighters had to work quickly to clamp off the flow natural gas. Two power lines were also affected by the fire. It took about an hour to get the blaze under control. No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
