SaskEnergy says the company was out over $30 thousand after an employee misappropriated gasoline for personal use during the operation of corporate fleet vehicles. The company says further investigation is ongoing to ascertain the value. The matter has also been turned over to police and measures are being taken to recover the loss from the individual. The employee was terminated last May but, the Crown Corporation says, the termination is subject to the Unifor grievance process.
