Saskatoon Police were called to Kiwanis Park in the 600 block of Spadina Crescent East late Tuesday afternoon about a man with a large knife acting aggressively. Officers reported there were many people in the park at the time. Police were alerted around 5:10 p.m., that a man had been witnessed stabbing the ground.
Patrol officers saw a man with a knife. It was reported he dropped it, but refused to comply with any other commands. Police believe he was under the influence of an intoxicant. A 46 year old was taken into custody and charged with carrying a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
