Saskatoon’s HMCS Unicorn has been named the top Naval Reserve Division in Canada. The reserve is the winner of the 2019 Commodore’s Cup. Naval Reserve Commander Michael Hopper says, “Unicorn is recognized for her outstanding performance in 2018-19, achieved through her commitment to volunteerism and outreach, ingenuity in training, professional development and sailor readiness, recruiting efforts, and leadership” Hopper says it was a difficult decision, given the strong performance of the 24 Reserve Divisions across the country.
