Just as a reminder, the Ministry of Health will no longer post news releases or COVID-19 case updates on the weekend or on statutory holidays. The next update will be provided on Monday giving results from Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Once again, the recoveries outnumber the new cases of the novel coronavirus in Saskatchewan.
There are 2 new cases of COVID-19 as of today (Fri), bringing the total to 815 and there have been 7 more recoveries. Both new cases are in the central area, and there are now 43 active cases in the province, while 756 have recovered.
On Thursday there were 5 people in the hospital, and today there are 4. Two people are in the north, 1 in Saskatoon and 1 person is in intensive care, also in Saskatoon.
The government stresses the need to continue to practice the safety protocols related to the virus.
With a summer weekend ahead, residents are reminded not to let their guard down when it comes to following the public health measures and personal safety precautions including physical distancing, washing your hands and limiting the size of public and private gatherings to 30 people.
