The Chair of the Saskatchewan Realtors Association says says, as the economy re-opens, a lot of buyers are confident in getting back out and getting back into their searches for a home as well as those getting back to putting their houses up for sale.
Tim Otitoju says they are seeing a quicker turn around time for homes selling and points out this time of year is usually busy with families trying to buy homes in the summer so they are settled when the kids go back to school. He suggests the other thing which may be affecting the timing of home buying is those who wonder if there would be a second wave of COVID-19 which could lead to another full or partial lockdown.
He says they are starting see things like multiple offers again on some properties. He feels the changes are influenced by the increase in the number of people working again, the economy is starting to recover, loosened restrictions and low interest rates as all being factors in terms of what is happening in the markets.
