A suspicious death is now a homicide investigation in Saskatoon.

At 3:34 pm on Saturday afternoon the Saskatoon Police Service were called to an apartment complex in the 37-hundred block of Diefenbaker Drive. The caller had reported there was a woman dead inside a vehicle. Patrol officers located and confirmed that 19 year old Hailey Belanger-Weeseekase was deceased.

Based on the autopsy conducted on Monday, the Major Crime Section is now investigating the case as a homicide with assistance from the Forensic Identification Section and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
