NDP Education Critic says Scott Moe and his family having involvement with the WE Foundation for many years isn’t an issue as much as what the NDP views as the Premier’s championing of public school spending.

Carla Beck says it is a quarter million dollar pilot project that the province is contemplating naming WE to be part of and the NDP feels every step of the process deserves scrutiny. They want copies of all documents pertaining to the matter as well as what was sent to the Conflict of Interest Commissioner in addition to any response received.

Premier Moe had said the trip he made to Kenya with the WE charity’s founder was a personal trip which he paid for and had presented to the Conflict of Interest Commissioner who he says indicated there was no conflict in this particular case.
